Fall Semester 2020: What’s Next?

The end of October and beginning has been a very interesting time for not just me but the country as a whole.  There has been

a lot to get used to during this time.  I normally have baseball practice every day, but since we have been on a break I feel like

I’ve been in a funk.

I started a new job at the MAC Xtreme, a gym in Cedar Rapids.  I work at the customer service desk assisting customers with

issues they come across.  I have recently finished my two weeks of training and will have my first alone shift this coming

Tuesday.  I have had fun learning the aspects of the job and I think I will have a great time working with my new team.  It will

also be very nice to have some extra money.  This gym has multiple locations in Cedar Rapids, Marion, and Fairfax.  Sadly, the

MAC lost their location on the Southside of Cedar Rapids due to the Derecho.

Along with starting a new job, there was a presidential election.  This has been the craziest election I have ever seen; it has

lasted multiple days and has left many people in awe.  If I can recall we often knew who the president would be the night of the

election.  This is a very different year, however.  With all of these mail-in ballots, there has been a great delay in the

results.  Hopefully, we can find out a winner very soon.  Whoever the president is after this election I hope our country has a

peaceful reaction and that nobody gets hurt.  The last thing I’d want to see is violence in our nation.
