Fall Semester 2020: What’s Next?
Well, now that I’m five into school I have begun to feel somewhat normal in this crazy year. I like all of my classes and have enjoyed the work I’ve done in them. I am coming up on my Midterm exams and finally hitting that halfway point if the semester.
All of my classes are teaching me very interesting topics. I’m learning new facts about music, how to properly write for public relations, and how to manage strategically. Each lecture makes me feel ready to take on workplace tasks and show my bosses what I am capable of. I will need to start studying day and night for my up and coming midterms.
Aside from school, baseball has been on a full tear. We’ve been practicing every day and I can fell the team’s chemistry and skill improve. Personally, I have been very happy with the results I’ve seen within myself. Of course, there are still areas I would like to improve and I hope to do so soon. We recently played Marshalltown College and saw success. We won both games easily and were able to see some great strides. This is when we’re having fun. The more success we have, the more fun it’ll be.
Back in my hometown of McKinleyville, California, my family had to deal with unhealthy air and apocalyptic skies. There were a number of fires on the West Coast that cause a lot of damage. My family was lucky enough to be far away from these fires but still lived in smoke. Others were not as fortunate. Some people lost everything they own. It is truly heartbreaking to imagine what some families are going through
Living in Iowa has been great and living with Tawny is a blast. She is working long and stressful hours at the hospital and I
always make sure to take care of her when she gets home. I am very excited about the future I have with Tawny. She is always
able to light up a room and makes me a better person. I love her dearly.
